Every week our Bits camps will introduce your children to our core toolset of hand, power, and computer controlled tools.  We will get them ready for general operation in the work space.  After Basic training, our campers will explore the themes and special tools for the week’s topic.  Every topic is developed to support a broad range of end results for a broad range of skill-sets and supports repeat campers.  Will run every topic twice, and change the topics week to week.  See schedule below.

June 5-9 Open Construction Pre-Camp Camp:
Basic Bit Space Boot Camp and free construction time [Will be available for single day camps]

June 12-16  Tops and Copters – Fight or flight, or just pure delight
Design and build something that moves by spinning; a wooden battle-top, a spinning copter. Then work together to construct a giant course to test the prototypes.

June 19-23  Band Camp – Toys for noise
The ringing strings on a cigar-box guitar, the vibrating metal keys of a finger piano, and the banging head of a bongo join forces as campers take on their own approach to music-making.

June 26 – June 30 Ready to Launch – Rockets, ships, floats, and boats
Through design and experimentation we’ll be working with the concept of pressure to power our vessels, whether a stomp rocket, balloon glider, or boat our guests this week are sure to have a blast!

July 5-7 [3 days only] Skateboards
Skateboard design and construction is back.  Campers will be stoked to make their own rad skateboard decks entirely from scratch.

July 10-14  Stop Motion Commotion – Story to screen
Campers will work in teams to transform a story into an animated short. Expect to build your own backdrops, design characters, operate a camera, and produce a mini masterpiece.

July 17-21   Camp Camp – The greater outdoors
For those who wish “roughing it” was a bit less rough, we’ll be developing gadgets that make the great outdoors even greater. Imagine a collapsible tent, a marshmallow roaster that spins on its own, or the perfect chair to relax in the woods.

July 24-28 Band Camp – Toys for noise
The ringing strings on a cigar-box guitar, the vibrating metal keys of a finger piano, and the banging head of a bongo join forces as campers take on their own approach to music-making.
